Take the Plunge!
Add some excitement to your life by splashing into our fun Adult Learn-to-Dive Programme.
The Forest City Diving Club's Adult Learn to Dive (LTD) Program is a recreational diving program
designed to introduce adults to the enjoyment of sport of diving in a fun and safe environment. Divers receive step-by-
step instruction in Olympic diving form and technique from the 1 and 3 metre springboards and perhaps even the
5, 7 and 10 meter towers.
In 2009 - 2010 we are pleased to offer (1) a fall session starting in mid-September and running until December;
(2) a winter session starting in early January and continuing until April; (3) a spring session starting in April and
running until June; and (4) a summer session during the months of July and August.
The Adult Learn To Dive Program is based on our successful Youth Learn to Dive Program,
but with a few specific modifications. We are happy to take your goals and reservations into account!
Maybe you aspire to be a tower diver? Maybe you are worried about anything higher than the 1m springboard?
We know that everyone comes to the pool with different abilities and will progress at different rates.
The following is a guideline of the skills you may learn in your classes.
As you show proficiency with a skill, your coach will have you progress to the next step!
Your enjoyment of the sport and your classes will heighten as you understand how the steps facilitate working
towards new goals. Your coach has final discretion in determining what will occur during the classes.
Each class will start with instruction on the pool deck to review:
• Diving and Pool safety rules

Make a Splash this Fall!!
Competitive Masters Diving Programme...
Are you a former diver? Do you have gymnastics or dance skills? Have you taken Learn to Dive classes and now love the sport?
Our Masters Programme is designed for adults who are interested in the pursuit of diving as a dedicated sport activity. We offer multiple classes per week, with the intention of resurrecting, improving, or advancing your dive list.
Our facility, the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, has a full complement of 1m and 3m springboards and 3m, 5m ,7.5m, and 10m tower platforms. Participants will be encourged to work on springboard and tower skills, but this is not mandatory.
Several Masters Level Diving competitions occur throughout the year in Ontario, and we will support any FCDC diver who wants to take part.
The Adult Learn to Dive and Masters Programme divers take classes at the same time, but will be working in parallel. The collegeal atmosphere makes the learning fun, but does not detract from personal advancement.
